Located on the banks of the Rhine, with the striking gothic Cathedral ‘The Dom’ as its dominant landmark, Cologne offers a diverse range of museums, theatre and opera and has plenty of charm with its cobbled streets dating back to Roman times. There are six Christmas Markets which run from 25 November until 23 December and four are located at the Cathedral.
With the high speed rail service from London St Pancras station, you can reach Cologne in just five hours via Brussels. Alternatively, Lufthansa operate three direct flights a day from Heathrow..
