The Glyndebourne Tour

United Kingdom

  • Leading Music Festivals & Performances Tours

The annual nationwide Glyndebourne Tour always begins at the company’s home base in Sussex. This year audiences will be treated to performances of two operas in new productions being unveiled at the 2014 summer festival - La traviata by Verdi and La finta giardiniera by Mozart. Following hot on the heels of the great 2013 success of Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia, there will be performances of another of the composer’s chamber operas, The Turn of the Screw. We will stay at the charming Deans Place Hotel in the heart of the picturesque and historic village of Alfriston, conveniently located for Glyndebourne. We will also include a visit to a country house.
