Santorini
Greece
Santorini is the southernmost island of the Cyclades and is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque. Villages of whitewashed houses with blue painted windows are perched on cliffs up to 300 metres high against a backdrop of black volcanic rock – views that continue to inspire artists and photographers.
Santorini can be reached by air from Athens or Thessaloniki or by hydrofoil from Athens in about four and a half hours.
