Dresden Christmas Market Holidays

 

Founded in 1434, the Dresden Striezelmarkt is the oldest Christmas Market in Germany and from 24 November until 24 December it features the region’s traditional crafts such as wood-carving and pottery. In addition, it hosts the world’s biggest wooden Christmas pyramid and during ‘Stollenfest’ a 3,500 kg fruit bread loaf is baked.
