We consider the Merrion to be the best hotel in Dublin. It consists of four interconnecting listed town houses, now fully restored to their original splendour, plus a contemporary garden wing. Located between Merrion Square and St. Stephen’s Green, the hotel stands opposite the Government Buildings.

Accommodation

Furnishings in the elegant drawing rooms are stylish and traditional, with an important collection of beautiful antiques, Belgian tapestries and paintings by leading Irish artists. Log fires welcome guests into all the main public rooms, including the No. 23 Cocktail Bar, whilst imaginative dishes are prepared in Ireland’s finest restaurant: Patrick Guilbaud. More informal food is available in Lord Mornington’s former wine vaults.

The Tethra Spa has an 18 metre indoor swimming pool, steam room, gymnasium and luxurious treatment rooms. All 145 bedrooms and suites are spacious and extremely comfortable.
