Kruger National Park, Southern Africa

Hotel overview

Jock Safari was the first private lodge to be located within the unspoilt wilderness of Kruger National Park and makes a good choice for those who prefer old world elegance to modern, contemporary design. It is located at the confluence of two rivers which makes it a great location from which to view a spectacular array of wildlife.

Accommodation

Named after a local hero, Jock of the Bushveld, a mongrel dog at the time of the first gold rush, the lodge reflects its historic past. There are 12 air conditioned suites which combine luxury,
privacy and history and each looks out over one of the river courses; they all have their own private plunge pools, outside showers and thatched viewing decks. The rooms are furnished to reflect a balance of colonial, Shangaan and Zulu styles and include Victorian roll-top baths. The game drives within the private reserve go deep into rolling hills and rocky outcrops and these are
spectacular locations to enjoy sundowners and dramatic sunsets whilst gazing out for miles over this beautiful part of Africa. For relaxation, there is a pleasant swimming pool and a restorative spa.
