Privately owned by the charming Frau Gürtler, this wonderful hotel is located directly opposite the State Opera House in the heart of the old city, close to the Hofburg.

Accommodation

Opened in 1876, the Sacher is a luxurious hotel decorated in the grand style with a wealth of splendid antiques and over 1000 original paintings, making one of the largest private picture gallery in Austria. Lunch and dinner are served in the Anna Sacher restaurant whilst the  highly acclaimed and atmospheric Rote Bar Restaurant with its covered terrace is open from 12.00 - 24.00.

The world famous Original Sacher-Torte, a mouthwatering chocolate cake, may be enjoyed in the Café Sacher. There are 152 beautifully furnished rooms and a new spa.
