The lodge has excellent views over the reserve from its elevated position amongst boulders in the foothills of the Ondundozanandana Range. It has the feel of a traditional African camp and has 10 chalets built from rock and thatch – each has a veranda. The main lodge, bar and dining area have panoramic views across the plains and the floodlit waterhole which attracts large numbers of game. Both black and white rhino, lion and several species of antelope can be found in the reserve, and in greater numbers in the National Park whose main gate is just 15 minutes away
