Now just 1 hour 20 minutes from St. Pancras on Eurostar, Lille is a great destination at any time of the year. Between 19 November - 30 December the Place Rihour hosts the largest Christmas Market in Northern France with a giant illuminated Ferris Wheel, funfair,concerts, exhibitions and more than 50 stalls.

Carlton **** Superior

An excellent hotel located opposite the Opera House, right in the heart of the old part of the city centre. The Carlton is a beautiful 19th Century building, fully modernised yet traditionally decorated throughout in the style of Louis XV. It has a wood panelled bar and the 60 rooms each have marble bathrooms and 24 hour room service. Midweek supplement (Mon-Thurs): £22 per room per night.

Hermitage Gantois **** Superior

Located in a quiet, residential area of the city, just 10 minutes’ walk from the Opera House, the Hermitage Gantois was once an ancient hospice dating back to the 15th Century. It now has an elegant fine dining restaurant, a more informal brasserie and a stylish bar. The interior decoration of the hotel and its 67 rooms and junior suites cleverly combine the rich history of the building with contemporary design. Midweek supplement (Mon-Thurs): £10 per room per night.
