From 19 November until 23 December there are Christmas Markets throughout Stockholm. The main market in the colourful mediaeval maze of the old town or Gamla Stan is held daily. This beautiful 17th Century residence is located in the heart of the Gamla Stan. The owners have a real passion for nautical history and there is a terrific collection on display. The excellent Michelin starred restaurant ‘Leijontornet’ serves delicious shellfish and game and there is an intimate bar. There are only 48 bedrooms, and each one has a portrait of a naval captain, one of his wife and a painting of his ship. |
