This music holiday is unique in that the entire event is organised by us exclusively for our clients. The concerts are not open to the public at large and all the musicians have been engaged by us and will perform a stimulating and well balanced series of chamber concerts.
This year we will stay for four nights in Sorrento before moving on to the island of Ischia for the remainder of the holiday. Sir William Walton, one of England's finest composers and his Argentian wife, Susana decided to make their home on Ischia after a visit during which they fell victims to its siren-like charm.

After Sir William Walton died in 1983, his widow devoted tremendous energy and drive into making La Mortella one of the world's greatest gardens. Above the glorious garden is the Waltons' villa and adjoining this is a magnificent music room where we will hold several concerts. We will spend the first half of the holiday in Sorrento where concerts will be performed in an elegant 19th Century villa, overlooking the Bay of Naples.

Barry Cheeseman writes: “This year's Kirker Bay of Naples Music Festival is once again a two centre holiday with four nights in Sorrento followed by a further four nights on Ischia. We will enjoy a total of seven private and exclusive concerts. Our hotel in Sorrento has a beautiful 19th Century villa in its extensive gardens and overlooks the Bay of Naples and it is in the villa that we will present our first three concerts. During our stay on the mainland we will be offering optional excursions to three ancient sites – Pompeii, Herculaneum and beautiful Paestum returning each day in good time for the evening's concert. On the fifth day we will transfer to the beautiful island of Ischia where our concerts will be given in the music room at La Mortella. There is something very special to think we are hearing concerts in the very room where Sir William Walton once worked. Walking in the early autumn evening through the lovely garden to the concert hall for our private concerts brings a deep sense of satisfaction to me every time I visit. It all combines to make the most magical musical experience”.
