Sleeping compartments have upper and lower berths, air-conditioning and small private bathrooms. Breakfast is served on board in one of the lounge cars as the train sets off on the next stage of the route; lunch and dinner are served in local restaurants.

The La Robla Itinerary

Day 2

"A three night journey from Bilbao to León and back to Bilbao travelling through fantastic scenery."

Day 3

Bilbao to Vado-Cervera via Espinosa where you board a coach to visit the cave complex at Sotoscueva.

Day 4

Vado-Cervera to León, stopping at Cistierna and Boñar where you will see the fantastic scenery around the Porma reservoir.

Day 5

León to Espinosa with visits to the Vegacervera canyons and the Valporquero caves and lunch in Aguilar de Campoo.

Day 6

Espinosa to Bilbao with stops at Balmaseda and a visit to the Torre de Loizaga castle in Galdames.
