Christmas Day | The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky

Tchaikovsky’s magical score together with the dazzling choreography of Marius Petipa combine to create one the most popular ballets in the repertoire and makes an ideal ballet to enjoy on Christmas Day.

26 December | La Boheme by Puccini

Puccini’s much-loved opera tells the story of young love, tragically cut short by the death of Mimi whose death scene is indisputably one of the the most moving moments in all opera, as her lover, Rodolfo looks on despairingly. Puccini’s genius is shown at its best in this wonderful opera. Roxana Briban sings the role of Mini, Ho-Yoon Chung is Rodolfo and their friends, Marcello and Musetta are sung by Markus Eiche and Laura Tatulescu. Constantin Carydis conducts the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra.
