Venice

City

Overview

Venice is an unfathomable experience. This glorious city, built on an archipelago of more than 100 islands, traversed by 200 canals, spanned by 400 bridges, continues to rise above the waters of the lagoon and the flowing tide of visitors. With over 20 hotels, from the traditional favourites to smaller family-run discoveries, no one offers a wider choice than us. Our unique Kirker Guide Notes will lead you to some excellent restaurants off the beaten track. Opera at La Fenice La Fenice is one of the world’s most historic opera houses. Originally built in 1790 it has twice burned down, in 1836 and again in 1996. It reopened in 2003 and has been sensitively restored to retain its original appearance. Tickets are hard to come by as most are sold to subscribers – however, we are able to source ours from recommended local agents and will arrange delivery of tickets direct to your hotel. Prices include the local agent’s handling fee plus just £10 per ticket administration charge and so will be higher than face value. Please contact the Kirker Concierge on 020 7593 2286 for details of the performances, prices and availability.
