Cefalu

Overview

Sitting at the base of an impressive rocky outcrop in the Madonie Natural Park, Cefalù is thought to have originated in Ancient Greek times and has been inhabited by many different civilisations over the centuries. The imposing Norman cathedral, the main symbol of the city, dates back to the 12th century and has some stunning original mosaics similar to those at Monreale. The picturesque old town and the surrounding beaches are increasingly popular due to the easy access from both Palermo and Catania airports. Prices include flights to Palermo and private transfers.
