An Aurora Adventure

Reykjavik, South Iceland 4 nights Price from £2,296 per person

A four night holiday: three nights Reykjavik, one night at Hotel Ranga. During the winter months (October to March) Iceland is one of the best places from which to spot the spectacular Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights. This holiday combines a stay in Reykjavik, including an evening ‘Hunt for the Northern Lights’ excursion, and a jeep excursion to the famous Golden Circle including geysirs, waterfalls and the dramatic landscapes of Thingvellir National Park, with a night in the island's south. Staying at the Hotel Ranga, a comfortable rural lodge where the isolation and dark skies make for perfect aurora viewing, you will explore ice caves, vast waterfalls, 'icefalls' and black volcanic beaches. For those willing to brave the cold, try watching the night sky from one of the open-air hot tubs.
