Degas at the Opera

Paris Musée d'Orsay from £728 per person

24.09.2019 – 19.01.2020.
Musée d’Orsay, Paris

The Opera was a formative influence on Degas throughout his career and his works follow dancers, singers, musicians and audience members through the atmosphere of the Paris Opera in the 19th century. This new exhibition focuses on this relationship, exploring themes such as movement, lighting and multiple points of view, and transporting visitors into the boxes, foyers, studios and onto the stage of the Palais Garnier.
