Tea, Trunks and Traders

Southern India 9 nights Price from £2,415 per person

Kerala is known in India as ‘God’s Own Country’ thanks to its blissful combination of sandy beaches, lush vegetation and delicious cuisine – especially seafood – which is infused with the plentiful spices grown locally. A tailor-made holiday in Kerala can combine colourful wildlife, fascinating tea and spice plantations, idyllic waterways and some time to relax on the shores of the Indian Ocean. Flying to Cochin, via Dubai or Mumbai, you will explore this former colonial port town, before heading for the hills to discover tea and spice plantations in Munnar and Thekkady. You will be able to spot wild elephants and exotic birds in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and spend a night on board a traditional houseboat in the Keralan backwaters, before ending on the beach with a few days to relax.
