Van Eyck: An optical revolution

Ghent MSK 3 nights Prices on request

Museum of Fine Arts Ghent (MSK)

During 2020 Ghent will be celebrating the work of its most famous son, Jan Van Eyck, with a series of events revolving around his masterpiece ‘The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb’. The outer panels of this 15th-century altarpiece will return to the MSK where they were painstakingly restored between 2012 and 2016 and will form the centrepeice of the largest exhibition of works by Van Ecyk ever to be shown in a single exhibition.

Alongside paintings by Van Ecyk will be works by contemporary late mediaeval artists from Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
