A magnificent mansion dating from the 1600s, this fine hotel has one of the best locations in Rome: in the heart of the historical city centre, overlooking the 2,000 year old Roman Pantheon and just five minutes' walk from Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain.
The grand hall is covered with a wonderful liberty style stained glass roof with a picture of Minerva at its centre; coffee and tea are served here, whilst traditional Italian cocktails are available from the adjoining ‘Cupole’ bar. The ‘Minerva Roof Garden’ restaurant on the top floor has spectacular views of the city’s historic landmarks; breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here while the adjacent terrace bar is the perfect place to end a summer day. The 135 bedrooms are comfortable and decorated in classical style.

Villa Borghese: This elegant villa in the Borghese Gardens was founded by Cardinal Scipione and contains a wonderful collection of classical sculptures and Renaissance art. Highlights include works by Titian and Lotto as well as Canova’s sculpture of Pauline Bonaparte (closed Mondays).
Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel: Although best known for Michelangelo’s work in the Sistine Chapel and the Raphael Rooms, there is much more of interest including the Etruscan Museum, the Tapestries Gallery and the Vatican’s own important art collection (closed Sundays).
