Kempinski Moika 22

St. Petersburg 3 nights low season from £998 per person

This fine hotel has a wonderful location on the banks of the Moika River, opposite the renowned Hermitage Museum and just two minutes' walk from Nevsky Prospect.

It is housed in a mansion dating back to the reign of Tsar Nicholas I. The classical façade of the building has been faithfully retained, while the interior has been entirely reconstructed and decorated with antiques of the period. The 197 rooms are furnished in a classical style with a strong maritime theme. There is an excellent fine dining restaurant serving French cuisine and on the top floor, the ‘Bellevue’ brasserie has breathtaking views of the city skyline. The Relaxation Centre has a fitness room, and a spa area offering various treatments. The vaulted wine cellar offers tastings in an intimate setting.
