La Posta Vecchia

Rome Prices on request

Formerly the private residence of Paul Getty, this elegant 17th Century villa has been converted into a stunning hotel, regarded as one of the finest in Italy. Located in its own beautiful gardens overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and just 20 kilometres from Rome’s Fiumicino Airport, the hotel is lavishly decorated throughout with Carrara marble, Renaissance furnishings, original tapestries and has just 18 bedrooms.

The vaulted, gourmet restaurant has a terrace with panoramic sea views. Despite being on the edge of the busy town of Ladispoli, La Posta Vecchia is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Guests will always find a peaceful spot to relax in the gardens; there are deckchairs on the small beach, a magnificent indoor swimming pool and also a spa. Bicycles and canoes are available; there is a tennis court on site plus golf and horse riding close by. Wine tasting and cooking classes can also be arranged and the centre of Rome is 35 minutes away. Hotel open 17 April – 26 October.
