Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky

Amsterdam 3 nights low season from £846 per person

The Krasnapolsky has been one of the grand hotels of Amsterdam since it opened its doors in 1855 and, thanks to a recent renovation, is now right up to date.

The location could not be more central as it lies directly on Dam Square, 12 minutes’ walk from the Anne Frank House. Breakfast is served under the original glass ceiling of the impressive Winter Garden and the ‘Grand Café Krasnapolsky’ is perfect for people-watching through the large windows looking out onto bustling Dam Square; alternatively try the fine dining experience at ‘The White Room’. There are 404 modern rooms decorated with parquet floors and in neutral colours . A new Anantara Spa offers treatments, sauna, steam room and relaxation areas.

Van Gogh Museum & Rijksmuseum

All Kirker clients travelling to Amsterdam receive entrance to Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh Museum. Following a 10 year refurbishment the Rijksmuseum re-opened in 2013 and contains works by all the major Dutch Masters including one of the wealthiest Rembrandt collections in existence. The permanent collection at the Van Gogh Museum contains over 200 paintings and 500 drawings by the artist. It is beautifully laid-out, taking visitors through his work chronologically.
