Levi Andreassen comes from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He came to England at the age of 15 to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School with Caroline Emery, with whom he still studies at the Royal College of Music. He is already establishing himself as a chamber musician, something very unusual for a double bassist. He won the 2025 Haslemere String Competition and his prize included a concert as soloist with the London Mozart Players. He took part in the 2025 Strings Showcase, thus making his debut at Wigmore Hall. Future engagements include performances in the 25/26 London Chamber Music Series, at Leighton House for the Kensington and Chelsea Music Society, and for the North Norfolk Music Festival where he will play at Holkham Hall.
