The Ensemble made its debut at a concert at 1901 Arts Club in
central London in March 2025. It was founded by the double bassist
Levi Andreassen inspired by the Schubert Ensemble who, over a long
and distinguished career, did so much to promote the double bass
with performances including that instrument.
