Emily Holt

Emily is a research assistant professor at the University at Buffalo in New York state and director of the Pran’e Siddi Project, an excavation and survey that researches the Bronze Age Nuragic culture of Sardinia.

Emily is a research assistant professor at the University at Buffalo in New York state and director of the Pran’e Siddi Project, an excavation and survey that researches the Bronze Age Nuragic culture of Sardinia. Emily received her PhD from the University of Michigan in 2013. In addition to her current position, she has held teaching and research positions at Oberlin College in Ohio, Miami University of Ohio, Cardiff University in the UK and the National Museum of Natural History in France. Emily’s research focuses on environmental archaeology, zooarchaeology and isotope analysis, and has been supported by the European Research Council, the US National Science Foundation, the Fulbright Foundation and the Mellon Foundation. Her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including Nature.
