Since founding her company in 1984, Dame Emma Bridgewater has become one of the country's best-known ceramic designers and entrepreneurs. A lifelong champion of British manufacturing, she has remained committed to producing all her ceramics in Stoke-on-Trent, the historic centre of the industry. Emma is also the author of two books exploring her business and design heritage. In 2025, she was made a Dame for services to ceramics, manufacturing, and charity.
