Kirker Holidays had the pleasure of hosting over 80 clients at Pallant House Gallery in Chichester on Tuesday 1st October for a private concert and a visit to the acclaimed Ivon Hitchens exhibition. After exploring the exhibition and enjoying a private talk on this local Sussex artist, the audience took their seats for a concert by internationally-renowned pianist Melvyn Tan. His sublime recital included movements by Debussy and Schumann, concluding with a personal favourite of his, 24 Chòpin preludes, which led to a two-minute ovation from the audience.
Melvyn recently returned from the Kirker Music Festival on Lake Como and the North Norfolk Music Festival, and he will be returning to perform at both of these Festivals in 2020.
Pallant House Gallery hosts a world-class collection of modern British art from 1900 to the present, displayed in a Grade I listed building. Revenue raised from ticket sales will be donated to the Pallant House Foundation.
