This month, we had the pleasure of sponsoring another Oldie Literary Lunch at the National Liberal Club. Following a delicious lunch in the delightful company of Oldie readers, we enjoyed three talks from authors A N Wilson, Ben Macintyre and Hugo Vickers.
The three writers gave contrasting, yet equally compelling talks about their most recent books: ranging from a profile of the poet, playwright and polymath Goethe, to a gripping account of the Iranian Embassy siege of 1980, and an fascinating biography of Clarissa, Countess of Avon.
In partnership with the Oldie Magazine, we are offering two holidays this year - a six night holiday to Seville & Andalucia led by Huon Mallalieu in November, and a four night holiday to Paris with Patrick Bade in early December. These holidays promise the good company of like-minded Oldie readers, paired with meticulously crafted itineraries, comfortable hotels, and plenty of joie de vivre...
