Kirker Holidays

The Escher Het Palais is a permanent exhibition dedicated to the works of M.C Escher (1898-1972) in the Lange Voorhout in The Hague. In the city centre of the Hague, this former royal residence was bought by Queen Emma in 1896. The first and second floors now have exhibitions dedicated to the royal periods and origins of the palace.

The Hague contains 120 of Escher’s prints, displaying his career development across various printing techniques, including woodcut, lithograph, wood engraving, mezzo tint and linocut. A highlight of the exhibition includes the 7-metre-long Metamorphosis III. The second floor of the museum is now a visual immerse experience, In the Eye of Escher, offering the chance to create your own version of the Impossible Penrose Triangle.

Located in the city centre of The Hague, the museum is easily accessible by car and public transportation, just a ten-minute walk from the Central Station in Prague.
