Travel through the spectacular mountainous region of the Bavarian Alps to the vantage point of the Eagle’s Nest before heading into the picture postcard town of Berchtesgaden. £240 per person Public Half Day ‘Sound of Music Tour’ (daily AM or PM): A group tour by coach with local guide. This is one of the most popular excursions in Salzburg and takes in the breathtaking scenery and locations made famous by Julie Andrews and the Von Trapp family. £60 per person
