Antwerp is one of the great ‘Art Cities’ of Northern Europe, and highlights include The Cathedral of Our Lady with its three important works by Rubens, the artist’s former home, the Plantin-Moretus Museum, which houses the oldest printing presses in the world, and the recently reopened Royal Museum Of Fine Arts.

Our tour to these three great Flemish art cities was inspired by the long awaited reopening of Antwerp’s Royal Museum of Fine Arts (KMSKA) in September 2022, and while this wonderful museum may be the highlight of the tour for many, the mediaeval charm of Bruges and Van Eyck’s masterpiece ‘The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb’ in Ghent are not to be overlooked.
