Guernsey

City

Overview

The natural beauty and old world charm of Guernsey allow visitors to take a welcome respite from the pace of modern life. The Island's capital, St.Peter Port, is one of the prettiest harbour towns in Europe, with cobbled streets, a picturesque seafront marina and stunning views dominated by the 800 year old Castle Cornet. The west coast is home to wide, sandy beaches whilst the south coast offers secluded coves and cliff walks. As in Jersey, the food here is delicious. The unspoilt beaches of Herm are a short boat journey away and certainly recommended as a day trip. The ferry from Poole takes around three hours.
