The Camargue

City

Overview

Western Europe’s largest river delta, the Camargue is a wild and rugged landscape of salt flats, rice paddy fields, wetlands and pastures. It is home to a diverse selection of flora and fauna and horses still roam side by side with cattle and bulls. It is one of very few European habitats for the Greater Flamingo.Take a jeep safari through the many nature reserves, go horse riding along the sandy beaches or rent bikes to access the many hidden corners of this fascinating region.
