Georgia

The compact republic of Georgia is located on Europe’s eastern fringe, between the Black Sea and the Caspian and traversed by the dramatic Caucasus Mountains. Despite its diminutive size it offers a diverse landscape of high mountain peaks and lush, verdant valleys, including some of the most ancient wine-producing regions in the world. Its capital is the charming and ancient city of Tbilisi, where Orthodox churches and cathedrals rub shoulders with mediaeval fortresses, Soviet buildings and new modern architecture. A lively city with a proud history, Tbilisi offers a wide array of excellent restaurants and wine bars where you can enjoy the famed Georgian cuisine.
