Gran Canaria

City

Overview

While the beaches and dunes in the south attract many visitors to Gran Canaria, the island offers much more diverse landscapes to the north, including a dramatic volcanic interior and the cooler north coast where the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is located. Here you will see architecture ranging from the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Ana to grand Spanish colonial buildings and the modernist Triana district.
