The small town of Nerja, originally a Roman settlement and still home to a remarkable aqueduct, is about 45 minutes from Malaga. There is a picturesque old town and a wonderful sandy beach, whilst will should also make a day trip to the unique Caves of Nerja complex, including prehistoric cave paintings and spectacular rock formations.
