Simmental Valley
The peaceful, lush meadows of the Simmental Valley are located off the well-trodden tourist path. Here you will find a fertile valley, speckled with Alpine flowers in the summer, which gently winds up to the picturesque village of Lenk im Simmental with its traditionally decorated wooden chalets. Two of the most beautiful natural spectacles of the Bernese Oberland lie further up the valley, the Simmen Falls and the ‘Sibe Brünne’ karst springs which feed the Simme river.
