One of the Imperial cities of Morocco, Fez is more discreet than Marrakech and needs to be explored to discover the wealth that it contains. The medina hides a thousand treasures, from historical buildings and small private palaces, to the traditional industries that take place. Fez is an ideal base from which to visit the surrounding areas taking in Meknes,Volubilis and the more mountainous countryside further to the south and east where you will discover a lake district, cedar forests and Barbary apes.
