Colombo

As the arrival and departure point for all visitors, everyone will see at least a little of Colombo. You can spend a day here visiting the Dutch Museum, watching people fly kites at Galle Face Green and browsing the many boutiques. The city has a growing number of stylish restaurants to choose from, all serving a high standard of international, traditional and modern dishes. Colombo is located right on the coast and the airport is to the north, a 45 minute drive away. Whether you start or finish your tour here, you will find it a welcoming city. While in Colombo we recommend taking a cruise along the historic Hamilton Canal through the heart of old Negombo to observe the traditional fishing boats among the coconut palms, mangrove forests and varied bird and marine life.
