The National Gallery of Art gives a good summary from Europe and America’s recent past while The Kreeger is an impressive private collection of Impressionist paintings. The Kennedy Centre hosts the National Opera and National Symphony Orchestra, while the recently restored 1920s Warner Theatre is as much of a spectacle in its own rights as the shows on its stage.
