The Art Of The Love Song - The Joe Stilgoe Trio
The trio heard back to their roots when first performing in the jazz clubs of London, learning every standard in every key. Of course, the standard songbook is almost entirely love songs from the theatre, and the perfection and art of these deceptively simple works is brought to life with new arrangements and Joe’s inimitable twist on the classics. Featuring songs by writers including Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Lerner & Lowe, Rodgers & Hammerstein through to Billy Joel, Joni Mitchell and Burt Bacharach.
