Just outside Donegal town in Ireland’s most north-westerly county, Lough Eske Castle traces its roots back to 1474, and the famous O’Donnell Clan. The current castle was constructed in the early 1860s on the site of the old Brooke mansion, and opened as a grand and luxurious countryside hotel in 2007.
