Sister train to its more glamorous sibling, El Transcantabrico Gran Lujo, the Costa Verde Express travels a scenic route between Santiago de Compostela and Bilbao over five nights and six days, with included excursions to some of the highlights of this spectacular part of Northern Spain.

Accommodation on board is in 24 comfortable double cabins, all with en suite facilities. There are four spacious lounge cars from which to admire the magnificent landscapes of Cantabria and Asturias, including the mountains of the Picos de Europa. All meals are included, and the cuisine on board is a highlight and is served with delicious regional wines.

A luxury coach will accompany the train to transfer passengers from the station to local sights, towns and restaurants along the route, and there are plenty of opportunities to disembark and explore the local area.

We highly recommend combining your journey with a stay in Bilbao and in Santiago, but we would be delighted to create a tailor-made itinerary and you may wish to extend your stay to include San Sebastian, the wine region of La Rioja, or a few days in Madrid.
