An alternative to El Transcantabrico Gran Lujo, the Costa Verde Express travels a similar route from Santiago de Compostela to Bilbao or vice versa over five nights and six days. The sightseeing itinerary also includes many of the highlights of the more famous train, but accommodation on board is in slightly less opulent but comfortable double cabins, all with en suite facilities. The cuisine on board is a highlight and is served with delicious regional wines.
