This extraordinary new exhibition dedicated to Fra Angelico (c.1395–1455) promises to be one of the most important art events in Italy for years. A key figure of early Florentine art, Fra Angelico was one of the founding fathers of the Italian Renaissance. The first major exhibition in Florence dedicated to the artist in over 70 years, 'Angelico' will explore the development of his work and his influence on contemporaries such as Filippo Lippi, Lorenzo Ghiberti, Michelozzo and Luca della Robbia. It will reunite, for the first time in over 200 years, works by one of the greatest masters of Italian art, with loans from the world’s most important institutions, including the Louvre in Paris, the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin, the Met in New York, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
We would be delighted to arrange a tailor-made short break to include entrance tickets for the exhibition, see our suggested package below.
