Travel on the famous Glacier Express - one of Switzerland's most iconic train rides across the Alps from St. Moritz to Zermatt. The breathtaking journey takes around 7½ hours, crosses 291 bridges, passes through 91 tunnels and climbs to over 2,000 metres high.
Fly to Zurich and take a scenic rail transfer to St.Moritz; from here you will be driven 15 minutes to the charming family-owned hotel, Waldhaus Sils where you will stay for two nights, overlooking the picturesque Engadin Valley.
On the third day you will board the Glacier Express at St.Moritz and from your first class seat you will enjoy spectacular views through the panoramic windows and a 3-course meal, expertly served as you wind through the Alps.
Disembark in Zermatt and stay for two nights at the Zermatterhof, with a whole day free to explore this delightful Alpine village in the shadow of the famous Matterhorn, before taking a rail transfer to Geneva for your flight home.
...when you travel with Kirker
This historic hotel dates back to 1876 when the oldest families of the village decided to work together and build a hotel to make the most of the burgeoning tourist trade. The result is a grand hotel on a more intimate scale and in the traditional Alpine style with a commanding position in the centre of Zermatt.
Perched in a wonderful position above the village of Sils Maria, in between two lakes and flanked by mountains and forests – the views from Waldhaus Sils are truly spectacular. Opened in 1908, this historic grand hotel is still owned and run by the same family ensuring a very personal, friendly and altogether Swiss experience.
