At the height of the spectacular rose season, our new itinerary to the Loire will combine the three trademarks that the region is celebrated for: exquisite gardens, magnificent châteaux, and world-class wines. In the company of wine expert Jonathan Ray, we will visit a number of key winemakers and sample their crisp, dry Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc wines, as well as the reds made primarily from Cabernet Franc. We also see a number of remarkable rose gardens and magnificent châteaux such as Amboise, where Leonardo da Vinci is buried, Azay-le-Rideau, which stands on an island on the River Indre, and Villandry with its ornamental parterres.
