Marking the 150th anniversary of its premiere, Milan’s La Scala will stage two full cycles of Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen, the first in a decade. This new production is directed by David McVicar and under the baton of Simone Young, with a cast including important Wagnerian singers such as Michael Volle as Wotan, Camilla Nylund as Brünnhilde and Klaus Florian Vogt as Siegfried. Our seven-night holiday will include stalls tickets for all four operas, as well as visits to Milan’s most important art collections, the magnificent Duomo, and two private villas in the Lombardy countryside
