Venice’s beautiful opera house, La Fenice, is one of the most historic of all opera houses and certainly one of the most beautiful and romantic. Indeed the audience and visiting divas would arrive at the door of the opera house by gondola. La Fenice is one of the world’s most historic opera houses. Originally built in 1790 it has twice burned down, in 1836 and again in 1996. It reopened in 2003 and has been sensitively restored to retain its original appearance. Tickets are hard to come by as most are sold to subscribers – however, we are able to source ours from recommended local agents and will arrange delivery of tickets direct to your hotel. Prices include the local agent’s handling fee plus just £10 per ticket administration charge and so will be higher than face value.
